Join Baxter Aerospace and shape the future of firefighting with our Dragonfly autonomous aircraft, a groundbreaking vertical takeoff platform designed to clear the air—literally. Our mission is to combat wildfires with innovative, scalable technology, delivering real-time data and paving the way for autonomous water-dropping solutions that protect lives and landscapes.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will design, analyze, and deliver components and systems that blend advanced mechanical design with modern control and software integration. This role combines CAD design in SolidWorks, systems identification, and control systems development with object-oriented programming and Python-based automation to create robust, mission-ready aerospace hardware.

We’re looking for an engineer who thrives in cross-disciplinary environments—equally comfortable designing parts in CAD, modeling system behavior, and writing code to test or validate designs. If you enjoy taking projects from a blank screen to a flying system, this role is for you.
